Shaun quit his job as a landscaper and they rented their house in London, to head off on this miraculous journey.
Baby Passport
Karen's nurse' maternity pay funded their trip, which has included Singapore, Australia, Ireland, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Taiwan, and Hong Kong with baby Esme being breastfed the entire time.
In Her Blood
Little Esme may have inherited her parents' love of travel, as since they returned to London, Karen was finding it hard to entertain the little tyke. 'Both Shaun and I were keen backpackers before I fell pregnant and everyone thought we were completely nuts when we said that we were going to take Esmé when she arrived.'
Off Again
Don't worry Esme! Karen and Shaun have another trip planned, this time to Thailand, Cambodia and New Zealand.
