Just days after law enforcement officials made their second major K2 bust in the Bronx, bodegas around the city grow cautious about selling synthetic marijuana. Yet the potent chemical plumes of K2 smoke still linger in the air on the streets of Harlem, the Bronx, and Brooklyn.
A man named Anthony was helping his own customers on Park Avenue and 125th Street underneath the train platform. “Look at all them bags around the ground. All they do is smoke K2 all day and night and police dont say sh-t.” He admitted to selling K2 and did so from his packets during our interview as a crowd of half a dozen passed the drug around to each other.
